San Diego - Urban Corps

This solar energy system was completed in summer 2010 as part of a massive project expanding the Urban Corps of San Diego's existing facility with two LEED-certified buildings: the Recycling Education & Community Outreach Center and the Community Training Room. The "green" campus features solar power, water reclamation and filter technology, a rooftop garden, drought-tolerant/native landscaping, composting and vermiposting stations, and an SDG&E "Sustainable Experience" kiosk.
