A design-build project conducted in concert with Lopez Engineering, this solar power system was the first major step by the Port of San Diego towards embracing sustainable business practices. We used all stainless steel and anodized aluminum hardware to protect against coastal corrosion. The solar installation received a rebate from the California Solar Initiative that offest approximately 25% of the project costs. The project was delivered on time and on budget. Since this project, Sullivan has started two additional projects for the Port of San Diego at the new Broadway Crusie Terminal. We salute the Port for moving towards sustainability and leading by example. |
