Careers at Sullivan Solar Power

Employment Opportunities

Employment at Sullivan Solar Power is unlike anywhere else in the solar industry. While compensation and benefits are important to any prospective new-hire, so too is company culture. It is the culture at Sullivan that sets it apart in the solar industry. Our team is dedicated, both individually and collectively, to providing the best customer experience for those seeking to go solar. Sullivan employees care about what they do. No one at Sullivan views their employment as a "job" but rather as a mission and each day each team member works diligently to fulfill that mission.

In exchange for the hard-work each member provides to the firm, the company provides generous compensation packages and perks. Besides the standard items that many companies offer, every year Daniel Sullivan charters a yacht for employees and their families to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks, holds an annual Holiday party and awards ceremony for their employees at the Hotel Del Coronado, and takes employees on a group vacation if the company meets it's internal goals. To date, Sullivan employees have been to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Ixtapa, and Mazatlan.

While Sullivan believes in giving back to its employees, Sullivan also gives back to the community by donating solar to low-income homes, providing local schools with solar education kits, donating to multiple charities, and sponsoring community events every year. Sullivan is a company that cares about its employees, their families, and their communities.

"I love working with Sullivan Solar Power", Erica Johnson, Sullivan team member since June, 2009.

"Sullivan Solar Power leaders are the most passionate, intelligent, dedicated and hard-working people I have ever met", Tara Kelly, Sullivan Solar Power Community Developer since 2011.

Renewable energy is one of the hottest fields to work in right now; we are witnessing one of those rare opportunities to get in on the ground level of an industry that will someday be a global powerhouse. Look at the people who got the first jobs in mobile phones or personal computers. Solar Power is no different. Like to think outside the box? Have crazy ideas? I knew I wanted to pursue a job in sustainability but after the awesome experience with Sullivan Solar Power at SDSU I decided I wanted to pursue a job with this great company. I have been employed here for over two years now, and have even recruited one of my best friends to work for the company as well. My colleague Anne and I co-custody our office dog, Junior, and we couldn't be more grateful that we can bring him into the office every day. It's a great working environment with amazing colleague and great clients. Such a win-win situation for all.

Employment at Sullivan Solar Power is fairly unique with access to all tools needed to reach your greatest level of success. Company culture is highest quality work via personal accountability, team communications, and combining premium materials and labor to deliver great construction experience to property owner. Having come from a previous solar contractor where the company DNA was ingrained with saving a buck by using non-electrician labor and cutting corners on quality by partnering with solar panel suppliers primarily from the People's Republic of China, it was a fresh feeling to be proud of every piece of our process. When meeting with prospective clients, there is utmost confidence in knowing that their project will be fulfilled as designed. From the materials handlers in the warehouse to the Community & Project Development departments, up to the electricians on the roofs practicing their art, our team is solid and I am very proud of the service and quality we provide.

Working at Sullivan Solar Power is great because you are able to learn about all aspects of the company. The best part about Sullivan Solar Power is the people; everyone is intelligent, friendly, open minded and down right funny.
