Escondido Solar Program

Sullivan Solar Power jump started 2011 by initiating a community solar program in one of San Diego County's great older cities, Escondido. The Escondido Solar Program proceeded from January to March 21, 2011. During the length of the cash-back solar incentive program, participants enrolled to install an entire 133,426 watts of solar power. Together, the city obtained more than $50,000 on their solar developments. This achievement will also cause a decrease of 301,777 lbs. of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere every year.

Testimonies from Escondido Solar Program participants:

“Sullivan Solar Power, in one word, is professional. The installation was done on-time, in fact, it was done a couple of months in advance from our original schedule,” said Escondido program participant David Lodahl, “The system is performing better than I had originally anticipated and our power bills are there to prove that.”

“Whoever asks about my solar panels, I tell them we had six quotes and don't go through the trouble, go with Sullivan right off the bat,” said Escondido resident and program participant, Rosa Enriquez.

“I am happy overall with Sullivan Solar Power- we are green,” said Escondido solar program participant Darrell Roireau.

“Happy with overall level of professionalism,” said Escondido Solar Program participant Frank Pedace.

Founded in 1888 and nestled in a quiet valley surrounded by rocky hills, Escondido is one of San Diego's oldest cities. Although Escondido is a relatively small city, population of roughly 143,911, a strong sense of community is shared among its residents - many of who have a lineage of ancestry dating back to great-grandparents. It's this unique culture of Escondido that helped the community come together around solar power, which now ranks #17 in the state of California for total solar power installations.
