San Diego Power Purchase Agreement

A power purchase agreement (PPA) is a legally binding contract in which a power purchaser (also known as a host) agrees to buy energy from an electricity generator (also referred to as a provider).

Our power purchase agreement partners will own and operate the solar power system while selling power to the host, you, at a rate equal to or lower than your current electric bill.  In California, one of the primary forms of renewable energy systems are solar power systems. In fact, approximately 85 percent of all solar energy systems installed in the U.S. are installed in the state of California.

If you are considering making your life greener with a solar power system, the experienced professionals at Sullivan Solar Power are here to help you design, install and maintain a system specifically tailored to your energy needs and budget. Our team of state-accredited electricians and project managers are based in San Diego and serve residents throughout southern California.

How San Diego Purchase Power Agreements Work

Generally, purchase power agreements stipulate that:

  • The contract will last between 5 and 25 years
  • Power will be purchased at a set price for the term of the contract with an annual escalator
  • At the end of the contract, your firm will have the right to renew the contract (under the same or different terms), purchase the solar power system or require updates to the renewable energy system
