La Jolla Solar Power: Cohen Residence
The Cohen Residence is helping clean the air and reducing their monthly electricity costs with alternative energy. This La Jolla solar power installation is flush with the roof line blending seemlessly into the panoramic view of La Jolla. The design consists of 40 solar panels with the capacity to generate 7,500 watts of energy to power the household, while the excess is sold to the grid for credits.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 11,250 to 15,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 18,600 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $3,300 in Solar Power Savings.
