The Nyberg residence uses Sanyo solar modules which are among the most efficient silicon solar panels on the market today. Sanyo modules have a layer of amorphous thin film silicon joined with mono-crystalline silicon. These modules perform better in high heat environments due to a lower temperature coefficient and they perform better in coastal environments because amorphous silicon produces more power under a marine layer than conventional crystalline technology.
