San Diego Solar Power: Liddell Residence
The Liddell household went with a ground-mounted solar energyľsystem because a rooftop installation would have required him to cut down a tree the homeowner wanted to preserve. It turned out to be a win-win decisioin, since the ground mount design allowed for an increased amount of renewable energy production while the surrounding shrubs only need leveling to avoid casting shade on the solar panels.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 9,929 to 13,238 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 16,415 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $2,912 in Solar Power Savings.
