The goal of reaching twenty percent municipal energy demand being met by renewable sources is well underway in the City of Chula Vista.  Officials just signed a one million watt contract with Sullivan Solar power that plans to utilize carports, roof mounted systems, and shade structures at several different city sites.  The partnership between the city and Sullivan Solar Power should catalyze further solar installations in the area, as Sullivan commits to donate solar panels to the nonprofit Grid Alternatives for every participant in their residential program.
