The city of Encinitas joins others such as Solana Beach and Lemon Grove, voting unanimously
to oppose the rate case filing by SDG&E. Following presentations by both SDG&E and the
solar coalition, residents were able to speak about their opinions on the proposed rate hike, which
proposes to charge solar producers for using the grid. Encinitas residents gave their opinions
against the charge and the council passed a resolution in opposition to case.
