Students learn about renewable resources at a young age, as they compete in the Junior Solar Sprint.  Model cars powered by solar energy are entered by each student team and raced against participants from other San Diego middle schools. Educators aim to use to program to illustrate the exciting possibilities of pursuing math, engineering, and science careers to young students.
