The first on-campus electric vehicle charging stations was installed by Sullivan Solar Power enabling drivers to plugin and charge with renewable energy. The installation supplements three stations off-campus charging stations at the Bachman Parking Structure. A total of 21 installations are planned in addition to ramping up campus solar power.

"These initiatives are all a part of the campus' effort to 'green' the UC San Diego fleet," said Dave Weil, UCSD Director of Sustainable Operations. "In fact, about 52 percent of UC San Diego's vehicles use some form of alternative fuel."
