La Jolla Solar Power: UCSD Bioengineering Building

The UCSD Bioengineering Building is outfitted with a solar power system installed by Sullivan Solar Power in 2014. The 145-kilowatt solar energy system consists of 336 Sunpower moduels and two Advanced Energy inverters. The solar panel system was mounted using a steel structure on the roof of the building.


This solar power installation by Sullivan Solar Power is part of the solar energy revolution and generating clean, renewable electricity for UCSD Bioengineering Building. On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
