La Jolla UCSD Solar Power: Biomedical Building Library
Sullivan Solar Power installed a 59.9-kilowatt solar energy system on the UCSD Biomedical Sciences Building Library in 2014. The solar panel system consists of 156 Sunpower panels and an Advanced Energy inverter to turn the sun's rays into clean and renewable electricity to power the building. The entire solar energy system was installed on the building's roof using a ballasted mount system.
solar power installation by Sullivan Solar Power is part of the solar energy revolution and generating clean, renewable electricity for UCSD Biomedical Sciences Building Library. On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 89,850 to 119,800 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 148,552 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $26,356 in Solar Power Savings.
