La Jolla UCSD Solar Power: Biomedical Building Library

Sullivan Solar Power installed a 59.9-kilowatt solar energy system on the UCSD Biomedical Sciences Building Library in 2014. The solar panel system consists of 156 Sunpower panels and an Advanced Energy inverter to turn the sun's rays into clean and renewable electricity to power the building. The entire solar energy system was installed on the building's roof using a ballasted mount system.
