This year, Solar Power International took place in Salt Lake City, Utah with a trailblazing program that has become the center of renewable energy integration. It is the largest energy event in North America, with over 19,000 attendees, 700+ exhibitors, and 500+ speakers spread across the clean energy spectrum. Sullivan Solar Power was among those who not only attended the event, but was the recipient of two prestigious awards during the Solar Power International (SPI) week-long conference.

Kicking off the informative conference was Solar Power World’s Top Solar Contractors awards gala, where Sullivan received a beautifully engraved award for achieving a national ranking of 110 in Solar Power World’s Top Solar Contractors List, climbing five spots from last year’s ranking of 115. Solar Power World also recognized Sullivan as the top Solar + Storage Installer, honoring Sullivan’s early efforts of coupling the two technologies for its customers.

“It was an honor to receive such an award in a room full of like-minded individuals who share a similar passion as we do at Sullivan Solar Power,” stated Emily Padilla, Community Development Manager at Sullivan, who accepted the award on behalf of the company, “It is a great feeling to know that our hard work and dedication to our mission of changing the way the world generates electricity is being recognized at such a high level. It only pushes us to work harder to reach our goals.”

The Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) classes were among the many workshops at SPI. Their insightful remarks regarding the extension of the solar investment tax credit drew in crowds looking for opportunities to provide future incentives to homeowners looking to go solar.

“SEIA’s Solar+Decade vision and our Extend the Solar Investment Tax Credit campaign are exactly in line with the pan technology spirit of this conference,” stated Ms. Hopper, President and CEO of the Solar Energy Industries Association. “We hope people will leave this conference with a sense of where this industry is going, and what it can accomplish working with other technologies to accelerate clean energy adoption and the many benefits that come with it.”

Another major highlight of SPI was the surprise award that Sullivan received from the highly-acclaimed company Panasonic, who awarded Sullivan Solar Power with the 2019 Residential Installer of the Year Award. Receiving this award was quite an achievement, especially coming from such a distinguished 100 year-old company as Panasonic.

“We couldn’t be more pleased,” commented Daniel Sullivan, founder and president of Sullivan Solar Power, “We hold ourselves to a high standard, from our nationally accredited project developers to our state-certified electricians. The fact that Panasonic has recognized our efforts and superior installations is a testament to what we provide to our clients.”
