After the completion of the first and second systems, the owner of the farm decided to contract with Sullivan Solar Power again, for the installation of an additional 9 ground-mounted structures. This third solar power system is rated at96.8kw AC making it the largest solar PV installation for the San Pasqual Avocado Company. It's designed to offset usage from a large commercial grade water pump thathelps irrigate the 240 acre avocado grove. For agricultural customers like San Pasqual Avocado Farm, going solar is a way to offset one of the largest recurring costs of operating the farm: pumping water.
