The Yale family of Chula Vista installed solar panels on the roof of their home, allowing them to nearly replace their old electric bill from the utility company with a lower cost 36-panel photovoltaic solar system. The roof-mounted solar power system was designed to maximize energy production. Combine that with the great rebate incentives offered and the Yales have greatly reduced their electric bill costs. This Chula Vista solar power installation also adds to the community's efforts to save the environment by reducing CO2 emissions. It's a great example of how solar power in Chula Vista and other San Diego communities is helping improve the community.
