Descanso Solar Power: Doerr Residence
The Doerr family took advantage of substantial rebates via the Rebuild a Greener San Diego Program after his home endured fire damage during the 2003 wildfires. With a smaller rooftop and an area adjacent to the home shrouded in trees, Sullivan Solar Power installed the system on a jagged stony slope 500 feet from the home. The system serves as yet another testimony to Sullivan's ability to deliver on a project regardless of difficulty.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 7,800 to 10,400 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 12,896 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $2,288 in Solar Power Savings.
