El Cajon Solar Power: Brownlee Residence
The Brownlees took advantage of unused rooftop real estate by installing an environmentally friendly solar power system. There are 32 solar panels mounted to the roof and positioned to maximize exposure to the sun. Over 5,900 watts of electricity can be produced and used by the household or sold back to the grid. The Brownlee familyľenjoys lower monthly electricity bills since they are no longer dependent on the utility company energy!
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 8,925 to 11,900 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 14,756 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $2,618 in Solar Power Savings.
