San Diego Solar Power: Cowell Residence
The Cowell residence is using solar panels to generate about 11,000 watts of renewable energy from a solar energy system designed as a shade structure. This amount of generation puts the household on the path of eliminating its electricity bill and greatly reduces its carbon footprint. Mr. Cowell said he had "a very good experience, from initial contact to project completion" with "professional staff, quality products and a top-notch installation."
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 16,431 to 21,908 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 27,166 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $4,820 in Solar Power Savings.
