La Mesa Solar Power: Featheringill Residence
The Featheringill household is presently equipped with a solar power system large enough to eliminate the home's energy costs. The 7,612 watts that the installation produces also permits the residence to reduce its carbon footprint as an environmental benefit. The ground mounted solar panels are tilted in a way to soak up as much California sunshine as possible to provide these advantages.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 11,418 to 15,224 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 18,878 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $3,349 in Solar Power Savings.
