In February of 2011, Sullivan Solar Power spotted the charming City of Vista to aid the city in affirming energy independence using a greater manifestation of solar production in the area. The prosperous Vista Solar Program ended in April 2011 with 81,048 watts of clean energy to be installed. Through community participants joining together, communally they attained a significant quantity, being paid more than $28,000 in cash-back incentives. The applicants’ collective installations will avert 183,311lbs of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere each year. The endeavors of these enlightened community members will not only help to expand the eminence life for all Vista residents, but also persist the development of a Vista solar community.
Although being a relatively small town, covering 18.7 square miles and 93,834 residents, Vista came together as a community to become ranked #73 out of the thousands of communities in California based on number solar systems on rooftops!
Although the Vista Solar Program is over, Sullivan Solar Power is running other incentive programs in the area - some of which might surpass the savings of the original Vista Solar Program!
