ITC 26% 2021-2022: Solar Investment Tax Credit Extended for 2021

In December of 2020, a $1.4 trillion omnibus bill and the second COVID-19 virus relief bill were passed. The bills included the extension [Sec. 48 and 25D] of the solar investment tax credit ITC that was on calendar to fall for residential projects to 22% in 2021 then 0% in 2022. Now because of the extension, the ITC for residential and commercial projects will stay at 26% for two more years.
