Signal Hill Solar Power: EDCO Disposal
In 2013, Sullivan Solar Power designed, built and installed a solar power system for an EDCO Disposal facility in the Signal Hill section of Los Angeles County, near Long Beach. The solar power system consists of 360 Kyocera modules and one Advanced Energy inverter.
The system is capable of producing more than 96 kilowatts-AC of clean, renewable electricity to power the trash-hauling facility.
The solar panels and other system components were mounted on tilt racks on the flat roof, so the panels are optimally positioned to capture the sun's rays.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 146,864 to 195,818 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 242,814 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $43,080 in Solar Power Savings.
