Sullivan Solar Power was selected by the Encinitas Union School District to design, build and install a 275-kilowatt AC solar energy system at El Camino Creek Elementary School. The system, installed on car ports in the campus parking lot, consists of 705 Sunpower panels and SMA inverters.
The solar energy system will save El Camino Creek Elementary School more than $118,000 in the first year of operation and $4.6 million over the next 25 years.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 412,500 to 550,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 682,000 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $121,000 in Solar Power Savings.
