High Tech High Chula Vista Solar Power
Sullivan Solar Power was chosen to install a solar power system at the High Tech High middle and high school building at the Chula Vista campus. The project, the second of two solar power installations our company was trusted to do at the Chula Vista campus, was completed in 2007. It consisted of designing, building and installing a 170-kilowatt system with 719 Kyocera solar modules positioned to capture the sun's rays and convert it to clean, renewable electricity.
All solar power components in this phase of the project were installed out of sight on the roofs of campus buildings using a ballasted rooftop mounting system to keep them safe, secure and working as they should.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 255,000 to 340,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 421,600 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $74,800 in Solar Power Savings.
