High Tech High Point Loma Solar Power
Sullivan Solar Power has done two separate projects for the High Tech High campus in Point Loma. The first phase on the Middle School Media Arts building consisted of a 69-kilowatt solar energy system carefully tailored to meet the school's individual energy needs. The second phase involved installing a 50 kilowatt AC solar power system on the campus' Building 49. In each case, the solar panels and other system components were installed on ballasted roof mounted systems on the roof of the campus buildings.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 103,500 to 138,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 171,120 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $30,360 in Solar Power Savings.
