High Tech High Chula Vista Solar Power
Sullivan Solar Power was chosen to install a solar power system at the High Tech High K-8 building at the Chula Vista campus. The project, the first of two separate solar power installations our company was trusted to do at the Chula Vista campus, was completed in 2004. It consisted of designing, building and installing a 130-kilowatt system with 658 Siliken modules positioned to capture the sun's rays and convert it to clean, renewable electricity.
All solar power components in this phase of the project were installed out of sight on the roofs of campus buildings using a ballasted rooftop mounting system to keep them safe, secure and working as they should.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 195,000 to 260,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 322,400 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $57,200 in Solar Power Savings.
