La Costa Heights Elementary School Solar Power
Sullivan Solar Power was selected by the Encinitas Union School District to design, build and install a 237-kilowatt AC solar energy system at La Costa Heights Elementary School. The system, installed on car ports in the campus parking lot, consists of 606 Sunpower panels and SMA inverters.
The solar energy system will save La Costa Heights Elementary School more than $100,000 in the first year of operation and $4.1 million over the next 25 years.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 355,500 to 474,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 587,760 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $104,280 in Solar Power Savings.
