Port of San Diego

The Port of San Diego has been actively working to reduce its carbon footprint for years and has utilized solar energy systems to help achieve that goal. Of the five solar power installations the Port has completed as of 2016, Sullivan Solar Power was selected for each of them in a competitive RFP bid process.

In total, the Port has more than 500 kilowatts of solar panels installed on its properties. The Port of San Diego’s “Green Port” program has been an example for other Port communities to follow through the United States.
