Oceanside Solar Power

Oceanside is the northernmost city in Coastal San Diego County, touching the southern border of Camp Pendleton, which separates San Diego and Orange counties. Thanks to the proximity to Camp Pendleton, the city is home to many active duty and retired U.S. military personnel and retains a heavy military presence. The city's beaches are among the widest and largest in the county and Oceanside's relatively affordable housing attracts many younger families.

With a large number of homes and commercial buildings, Oceanside also is a popular spot for solar power. The city's inland sections get plenty of sunshine year round to efficiently generate clean, environmentally friendly solar energy.
