San Diego County Solar Power

San Diego County is blessed with sunny weather nearly year round. All that sunshine means residents and business owners enjoy optimal conditions for generating clean and environmentally friendly solar power in San Diego. To put it simply, San Diego and solar power are a perfect match.

Sullivan Solar Power was founded by a native San Diegan, Daniel Sullivan, in 2004 to help change the way his hometown and the rest of the world generates electricity. Back then, Sullivan was one of only a handful of solar power companies in San Diego, with less than 100 solar energy installations up and running in the entire county.

Today, the solar energy revolution that Sullivan helped spark has made San Diego County a beacon for the rest of the nation and the world, showing that our society can run off of clean, renewable solar power.

San Diego County Solar Power: By the Numbers

Sullivan Solar Power is working with San Diegans to help change how our world generates electricity. San Diego solar power is a cost-effective, reliable and environmentally friendly way to generate your own electricity and cut ties with your utility.

Each year, solar power helps keep more than $266 million in the San Diego County economy instead of supporting the fossil fuels industry, while helping to avoid the creation of more than 1.5 billion pounds of carbon dioxide in our environment. More than 90,000 solar energy systems have been installed across San Diego County, including more than 2.1 million individual solar energy panels.

Our San Diego solar power customers are crucial to achieving our purpose of leading a solar energy revolution across Southern California. To see some examples of our San Diego solar power installations, click on the detailed solar case studies below.
